paul bradford interview

Ghost Hunters Fans was lucky enough to get a chance to interview Paul Bradford, the newest Ghost Hunters International team member! Paul was first seen in the final episode of Season 2.0 and is going to be a regular part of the team, serving as Tech Specialist. He was kind enough to answer a few questions that we asked him about his life and his work as a paranormal investigator.

Ghost Hunters Fans: Tell me a little bit about yourself.
Paul Bradford: My name is Paul Bradford, I'm married with two beautiful daughters. I'm the newest member of the Ghost Hunters International team. When I'm not travelling the world in search for paranormal activity, I run my own team out of Arizona called Sonoran Paranormal Investigations. I also run a ghost hunting gear website called Creepy Hollow Gear which I started a few years ago with a simple MySpace page and has now expanded to a full website offering many different kinds of Ghost Tech, the goal with Creepy Hollow was to help other paranormal teams and enthusiasts out there. The cost of equipment especially when labeled "the must have ghost hunting tool" was always astronomical and seemed that there was a lot of people in the field to just make money so I started building and selling my gear at little to no profit at all, this helped me to create a good reputation amongst other paranormal enthusiasts and research groups. All my equipment is hand made by myself, which means that now I'm on the road with the GHI team I don't have a lot of time to build stuff. However during my breaks I still aim to get a few things made and get them out to these teams across the world and hope that I'm able to help further research and experimentation of the paranormal and maybe one day aide in finding some answers to what we've all been looking for.

GHF: What got you interested in ghosts/paranormal phenomena and when did you decide to start investigating ghosts?
PB: Unlike many, I didn't have any climatic paranormal event as a child in fact I was and still am a huge Sci Fi fan. Just the subject of the paranormal fascinates me. My first recollection of Ghost Hunting was when I was around 7 or 8yrs old. There's always a house somewhere near to where you live with the rumours of ghosts well I was no exception, myself and a few friends would attempt to find ghosts in an abandoned house a few blocks from where I lived. Each one of us daring the other to be the first to go in, however it wasn't until I moved to America in 2006 that I actually got involved with a local team and began really researching what was involved. Very soon my brother in law and myself started our own group, Sonoran Paranormal Investigations (SPI).

GHF: How many ghost investigations have been on, and which ones have been the most memorable?
PB: I've been on many ghost hunts, one such and possible the most memorable for myself was a ghost town here in Arizona called Vulture City an old mining town completely in decay with only a few buildings still standing. It was one of my first investigations and the pinnacle event for me was seeing what looked to me like a ball of light the size and shape of a Rugby ball floating about the room above my head then darting through a door. Something I'm yet to rationalise.

GHF: Is there anything else that you would like to say?
PB: My hope is that I can help others, be it the client or even other teams. I've built a number of different tools that are already being used world wide and even some experimental gear that others have joined me in testing. I've donated many of the tools I've built to worthy causes and to teams who are just getting started. I'd truly love to see an end to the drama, to the bickering amongst teams and see unity in the community. We are all looking for the same thing, lets help each other to find it.
