Robb Demarest
LEAD INVESTIGATOR

  • BIOGRAPHY

Robb Demarest, a native of Albany, N.Y., who now resides in Parkland, Fla., joins the Ghost Hunters International team after three years with Florida Ghost Team, an affiliate of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (founded by Ghost Hunters' Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson). Robb's responsibilities on the team have ranged from research, technology management and client relations, to his current position as assistant director. He has also participated in speaking engagements on behalf of the group.
The evasive nature of paranormal investigation fueled Robb's desire to become involved in the field at an early age. He found it fascinating, he says, because it "was like reading a mystery that had the last page cut out."

As the lead investigator of the Ghost Hunters International team, Robb hopes to push the boundaries of current knowledge in the field and approach these enigmas with the open-minded skepticism for which his TAPS counterparts are known.

With a background in psychology and business administration, Robb has previously worked as an ESL teacher and currently holds a day job as a professional tutor. A practicing martial-artist, he also has a passion for traveling (for which Ghost Hunters International is a perfect outlet).

Barry FitzGerald
TECH MANAGER

  • BIOGRAPHY

Barry FitzGerald, a veteran ghost-hunter with 17 years of experience in paranormal investigating, is memorable to Ghost Hunters fans for his work on TAPS' investigations in Europe, during the show's third season. Now, as a member of the new GHI team, Barry supplies his expertise in both ghost-hunting as well as his knowledge of the historical locations of each new investigation.
Haunted by supernatural events he experienced as a child growing up in Ireland, Barry developed an interest in paranormal research and went on to work for two different paranormal groups based in Northern Ireland. He now dedicates much of his time to the development of new investigative techniques and research methods.

A lifetime resident of Ireland, Barry previously worked as the warden for the Southern Education and Library Board, where he arranged weekends away for youths and worked on conflict issues and cross-border projects, allowing communities from either side of the cultural divide in Northern Ireland to work together and develop friendships. He is also an avid writer and cook.

Dustin Pari
INVESTIGATOR

  • BIOGRAPHY

Dustin Pari appears on Ghost Hunters International as an investigator, researcher and all around "good guy."

Dustin was originally seen on Ghost Hunters after being given the chance to join TAPS by Jason and Grant.

He has been interested in the paranormal since he was a child, and has been investigating since his teen years with friends at local hot spots.
He is a proud father of three, and is happily married to his beautiful wife, all of which he misses greatly while traveling to film the show around the globe.

When he's not hunting ghosts, he's busy holding down three "normal" jobs. In his free time (if there is any), he enjoys spending time with his family, writing satirical social commentaries, eating cereal and watching cartoons.

Joe Chin
INVESTIGATOR

  • BIOGRAPHY

Joe Chin, a self-described "happy go lucky guy," grew up in a close-knit family of 11 and worked primarily with the family's businesses. His interests in paranormals date back to his teenage years. Growing up, Joe remembers that the third floor of his tenement house was always lively with instances of unexplained paranormal activity.
And although he experienced the supernatural as a youngster, he had no idea that people looked for the paranormal until he met Jason Hawes. Months after meeting Jason, he was asked to join TAPS and several cases later he is still a part of the thriving team.

"Joining Ghost Hunters International has given me the opportunity to travel the world and push my passion for the paranormal to new levels," said Joe.

Since joining TAPS, Joe has cultivated what he refers to as a "skeptical curious side," that spurs him to want to get to the bottom of things. He also relates this innate curiosity to being a computer technician, a trade he delves into in his spare time. When working with computers he always has to figure out what the problem is and how to resolve it as quickly as possible - similar to the work that he and the TAPS team do.

When he isn't investigating cases, Joe enjoys computer gaming, movies, outdoor activities, learning about crypto zoology and spending time with his family.

Ashley Godwin
INVESTIGATOR

  • BIOGRAPHY

Ashley Godwin was born and raised in Florida. Though she was initially brought up Christian, when it comes to investigating, she is driven by the logical, the methodical, and the scientific. Her recent years have been spent studying Atmospheric Science and Experimental Psychology, and she is also a member of Robb Demarest's local paranormal group, Florida Ghost Team.
Ashley has had an interest in the paranormal for as long as she can remember - "My family is big on celebrating Halloween," she says. "I specifically remember every Halloween party, all the way back to three years old. We would watch a good scary movie, then play 'Ghost in the Graveyard' amongst these Styrofoam tombstones we had in our back yard." Ashley had her first investigation with FGT in Ybor City, FL; when Robb asked her to join GHI, she gladly accepted. Having never left the country before, this would be an amazing chance to travel the world and explore the unknown - though Ashley is the youngest in GHI, her expertise and insight into her field has proven to be of endless value.

When she isn't fending off the Ghouls, Ashley spends her time reading, singing, and listening to music - "I love to keep an open mind to music; I'll listen to anything from classical Bach to death metal!" She also has a keen eye for filmmaking, and is an avid critic of all the latest films; her favorites include The Lost Boys, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and even the 1981 Canadian animated classic, Heavy Metal.

Brandy Green
INVESTIGATOR

  • BIOGRAPHY

Precocious childhood experiences with the paranormal led Brandy Green to spend much of her life exploring the possibilities of life after death.

Her first ghost hunting endeavor began when she founded her own paranormal investigation group in the Twin Cities. Now she begins her latest feat as the Case Manager of the Ghost Hunters International team.
After studying the psychology of death and dying, Brandy began to expand her understanding of the psychological, social and historical aspects of loss and the afterlife.

She has worked to apply that knowledge towards clients and cases that her home team has worked on, as well as those that she encounters with GHI.

Having worked under florescent lighting in office desk jobs for years, she loves her new position with GHI and is thrilled to have the opportunity to investigate un-chartered locations and use state of the art equipment to make contact with the paranormal.

Aside from psychology, anthropology and the afterlife, some of Brandy's interests include: Egyptology, crypto zoology, travel, sketching, old movies, music, and theater

Shannon Sylvia
Investigator

From: Ghostock.com

Shannon Sylvia is best known as an investigator on the television documentary series Ghost Hunters International. She was an original member of the cast that premiered in January 2008.

Sylvia hails from Leominster, Mass., just outside of Boston. Shannon's experiences growing up in a small, historic town rife with paranormal activity sparked in her a strong interest in the field, and she has dedicated a great amount of time to investigating unexplainable incidents that for years plagued her parents' home, as well as her own.

Those domestic experiences with the supernatural led to Shannon's relationship with New England Paranormal. First hired by Shannon in 2005 to investigate the activity in her home, the group soon asked her to join their team. Since then, she has worked with the group on many cases throughout New England.

She continues to take every advantage of opportunities to expand her knowledge of paranormal investigating by attending conferences as well as devouring countless books on the subject.

When she's not working on a case, Shannon - who holds degrees in communications and fine arts - works full-time in her graphic- and website-design studio, which she has owned for the past seven years. She is also the owner of a day spa.

A skilled enthusiast of both fresh and salt-water fishing, she is an avid fan of kickboxing and is teaching herself to play the violin.

Andy Andrews
Lead Investigator

From SyFy.com

Andy Andrews, a former member of Ghost Hunters' The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), appeared on the show in its first season. A skilled investigator, he brings more than 16 years of experience to the GHI team, and he approaches each case with the open-minded skepticism for which TAPS is known.

Before joining TAPS, Andy founded Rhode Island Paranormal, an organization that investigated supernatural claims all over his home state. Currently, Andy resides in Sterling, Conn., and works as a teacher for individuals with autism. At home, he enjoys adding to his collection of vintage motorcycles and spending time with his family in their 300-year-old (haunted) Georgian Colonial.

Angela Alderman
Investigator

From: SyFy.com

Angela Alderman has had a profound interest in the paranormal ever since she was a little girl. And although she's always been an avid reader of paranormal texts, she didn't hone in on her investigative skills until she researched her family history.

When Angela discovered the ties between her own family and the reportedly haunted Cuban Club in Ybor City, Florida, everything came together. She had her first investigation with Florida Ghost Team at the Cuban Club. This sparked a passion for investigating that has allowed her to examine historic places and private residences all over Florida.

Angela's keen interest in critically observing supernaturals is what led her to join the hunt. She is thrilled to have become a member of the Ghost Hunters International team, where she can take her quest for answers about the paranormal around the globe. In addition to her work on Ghost Hunters International, she is also a co-founder of Skeptic Believers, a paranormal research team based in Florida.

When Angela is not hot on the heels of reports of the paranormal, she can be found walking the beach, spending time at home with her family, and playing with her new extended family - her four little kittens.
